Delicious
traditional dishes cooked with special care, like our free-range
rabbit, chicken and beef, as well as our mushroom dishes which
uses a special recipe of Grandma Rosa (available in winter),
always accompanied with appetizing Guatemalan trimmings, including
black beans, rice, vegetables, and fresh corn tortillas. We
offer services for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack time.

Ecological
Bar: Before
experiencing a delicious plate, after a dynamic walk, or a
good duration in the sauna, you can enjoy a fruit cocktail
or a generous shot of Cusha (Mayan moon-shine). The cusha
is made in a clay jar which acts as a microbrewery. Or if
you prefer, a shot of“Guatemlan liquor” mixed
with local soft drink called “India Quiche”. We
also offer an array of internationally known alcholic beverages |

Cabins:
We
offer lodging in cabins with panoramic views of Sampual peak
which holds mythological meaning to the communities of our
communities, Santa Lucía and Nahualá. These
are confortable and well equipped cabins among the crisp air
of the green foliage where you can rest the night away and
awake the song of various birds. Our cabins are equipped with
pure water, a gas stove and ample blankets to protect you
from the cold winter nights.
Temascales:
We
offer tradicional Mayan saunas that are locally used for their
medicinal properties, muscle relaxation, as anti-oxidants
and physically therapy. You will be surprised to find there
are several ancient Mayan myths surrounding these Temascales--just
ask us! These saunas are worth a try! |

Spanish
and K´iche´Language School: We
offer international tourists the opportunity to study Spanish
and the Mayan languange of K´iche´at Corazón
del Bosque. This unique attraction offers lodging and meals
with families of neighboring villages. Our trained teacher
give special one on one attention to the tourist who wishes
to learn Spanish or K´iche´at an accelerated pace.
We offer classes from one week to months or anywhere in between.
This is a perfect chance for international Spanish students
to begin studying or to refresh their current level, and to
definately improve their levels of Spanish. Our students are
challenged to converse with their Spanish teachers, families
and community members in Spanish and K´iche´,

Birdwatching:
We
offer trails that lead you through a visually stunning hike
through our woods, specially designed to minimize the impact
of our wildlife. If you please, you can hire a local guide
to explain our bird-fauna. Come observe the many endemic,
resident and migratory bird species that are very special
in the ecosystem of "Corazón del Bosque." |

Tree
Nursery: This
ecological project generates trees, flowers and plants to
sell as well as seeds for the reforestation of the area. It
is also a great place for environmental education. Among the
cultivated species you can find pinabete, a tree that is on
the verge of extinction. Also, you can observe our compost
that utilizes worms to create natural fertilizer for the nursery´s
usage. |

Crafts:
Guatemalan

Aula
de la Naturaleza: This
construction aids in the Association´s desire to aid
the community as educator´s of environmental and cultural
education. The Aula de la Naturaleza (Education Center of
Nature) is dedicated to educate groups which desire sessions
on various subjects, but also serves as an ideal conference
center to realize professional meetings, seminars, parties,
weddings, birthdays etc. We offer lodging for up to 60 persons
on the second level of the center at a very economical price.
The first level consists of the conference room and our internet
cafe. It would be our pleasure to host your next proffesional
or personal event. Also, contact us if you would like to bring
a group to recieve a lesson on environmental or cultural education
in Spanish!!

Mayan
Altar: A
ceremonial area where religious practices are performed by
our Mayan ancestors to practice the ancient religion of our
people, also known as the Mayan cosmo-vision. |

Sanctuary:
The
tranquility and peace that inspired Corazón del Bosque
(Heart of the Forest) is the ideal place to practice religious
ceremonies or to take a break whilst hiking our trails. |

Tikalito:
In
honor of the historical Tikal in northern Guatemala, Corazón
del Bosque (Heart of the Forest) offers a small challenge
for our visitors. Tikalito consists of 190 steps that lead
to a hill top that offers a panoramic view of our neighboring
communities. |

Recreation
Area: Feel
free to bring your chidlren. They will surely enjoy the playground
built especially for the recreation of children. Adults also
have a recreation area where they can play soccer and table
football. |
